BBQ sauce with ketchup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Let simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened. You can stir everything with a wooden spoon to make this step faster.
  3. Let it cool to room temperature.
  4. You can store it in a covered container in the fridge for up to one week.
