Bourbon BBQ


  • ¾ cup of bourbon whiskey.
  • 2 cups of ketchup.
  • ½ tablespoon of salt.
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
  • 4 crushed garlic cloves.
  • ¼ cup of tomato paste.
  • 1/3 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • ½ onion chopped into small squares.
  • 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar.
  • ½ cup of brown sugar.
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon of liquid marinade.
  • 1/3 teaspoon of hot sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard.


  1. In a medium-sized skillet, over medium heat, you are going to add the whiskey, the chopped onion and the crushed garlic.
  2. Stir constantly and let it cook for 10 minutes until the onion has cooked.
  3. Then add the pepper, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, hot sauce, liquid marinade, tomato paste, and ketchup until everything is very well mixed.
  4. It’s cooking time. After having mixed all the ingredients very well, wait for the sauce to start boiling.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and go beating for 20 minutes and you will have your sauce ready.
