Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk all the ingredients together until the brown sugar substitute dissolves, about 2 minutes.

KFC Style BBQ sauce

  • ½ cup of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 splash of hot sauce

Directions

No-Cooking BBQ Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Directions

  1. To start, take a medium bowl and mix the tomato sauce together with the honey and water.
  2. Then, add the soy sauce, hot sauce, and English sauce to the bowl and stir a bit.
  3. Next, add the salt, the crushed garlic cloves and the tablespoons of pineapple juice. Stir again to integrate the flavours.
  4. This BBQ is ideal for brushing any type of meat and cooking it.

Pico de Gallo BBQ

Ingredients

  • 1 large, ripe tomato, ideally thin-skinned.
  • 1/4 red onion.
  • 1 jalapeño pepper (or 1/2 green pepper).
  • The juice of 1/2 lime.
  • A few fresh coriander leaves.
  • Salt
  • 200g BBQ sauce

Directions

  1. Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into small cubes. If its skin is thick you can also peel it.
  2. Wash the jalapeño or the green pepper, dry them and cut them into cubes as well.
  3. Peel the onion and cut it into squares.
  4. Put the tomato, jalapeño or green pepper together with the onion in a bowl and add the lime juice.
  5. Finely chop the cilantro, and also add it to the bowl along with a little salt.
  6. Add the BBQ sauce and mix it all together. It is the perfect dip for tortilla chips.

Paleo BBQ sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 24 ounces strained tomatoes
  • 7 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup blackstrap molasses
  • 1/3 cup coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter or ghee.
  2. Then add the rest of the ingredients and whisk together.
  3. Let it simmer on low for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and either use immediately or store it for up to a week on a covered container.

Basil BBQ sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 dried hot peppers
  • 2 fresh oregano leaves
  • 8 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 2 tablespoon honey to taste Vinegar and oil

Directions

  1. To start, mix the onion, garlic and chilli together with the oil and vinegar.
  2. Then put in a saucepan and add the sugar, honey, salt, cayenne pepper and the basil leaves and oregano well crushed with a knife.
  3. Mix and simmer for about 3 minutes to reduce a bit.
  4. Then add the ketchup mix and leave another 5 minutes until the bubbles splash.
  5. Use it hot or let it cool. It can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Onion BBQ

Ingredients

  • 3 white onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 20g tomato sauce
  • 20g honey
  • 10g brown sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

Directions

  1. In a frying pan with a little olive oil, sauté the onions cut into squares together with the garlic. When they are golden, add the brown sugar and cook over low heat until you see the onion caramelise.
  2. Remove from heat and quickly add tomato paste, tomato sauce, and honey; mix until all the ingredients of the homemade barbecue sauce are integrated.
  3. Finally, add a teaspoon of paprika powder.
  4. Serve hot or let cool.

Liquid BBQ sauce

Ingredients

  • 250ml of ketchup
  • 60ml vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  • 75ml chicken broth
  • 30g of black sugar
  • ½ tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika

Directions

  1. Mix the ketchup with the vinegar until they are well integrated.
  2. Add the broth and mix again.
  3. Add the other ingredients one at a time, mixing in between each step.
  4. The earlier you remove it from the heat, the more liquid it will remain.

  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or panela
  • 2 tbsp ground cumin
