Pico de Gallo BBQ


  • 1 large, ripe tomato, ideally thin-skinned.
  • 1/4 red onion.
  • 1 jalapeño pepper (or 1/2 green pepper).
  • The juice of 1/2 lime.
  • A few fresh coriander leaves.
  • Salt
  • 200g BBQ sauce


  1. Wash the tomato, dry it and cut it into small cubes. If its skin is thick you can also peel it.
  2. Wash the jalapeño or the green pepper, dry them and cut them into cubes as well.
  3. Peel the onion and cut it into squares.
  4. Put the tomato, jalapeño or green pepper together with the onion in a bowl and add the lime juice.
  5. Finely chop the cilantro, and also add it to the bowl along with a little salt.
  6. Add the BBQ sauce and mix it all together. It is the perfect dip for tortilla chips.
