This set includes 8-inch, 10-inch, and 13-inch silicone-headed brushes with bristles cast in one solid piece so nothing sheds into food, unlike bristle brushes that can shred over a hot flame. The bristles hold a heavier coat of thick sauces such as barbecue glaze or honey mustard than natural fiber brushes, and the flat wide head on the largest brush is sized for basting a whole spatchcocked chicken in a few strokes. Stainless steel handles are riveted through the silicone head for a joint that will not loosen with repeated dishwasher cycles.
